April, I so sorry for responding so late. The beige material I found at a thrift store. No idea what it is! Unfortunately it hasn’t lasted very well…

I am so sorry for the late reply! I haven’t been paying much attention to this blog lately…

I believe I just used some piping/ribbon material for my first attempt and glued it on. My second attempt I used elastic, to make them a bit easier to move in and take off. I’m still not very satisfied with the costume, though, so I’m going to be redoing the entire thing at some point. Aside from the orange suspenders, the stripes were the hardest thing to figure out. :\

Love the costume! Trying to remake it myself. I had to ask tho, what’d you use for the black tracing down the leg and what would you recommend? I was thinking of buying black tape and taping it or buying black string and maybe sewing it? (the sewing seems like a lot of work and I don’t have that much time) Cheers!

Yeah, I figured they might like being able to feel it, or could hear it to some degree. It just struck me as kind of odd, as I’d never seen or thought about it before.

I think it depends on who you’re seeing. When you’re seeing classic rock bands, you want to hear the classics. Unless you’re a diehard fan, you really don’t care too much about their new stuff. Especially when you consider my first point: if there are no or few original members, who are the ones who wrote the classic hits, then why would you want to hear new songs by a band that’s arguably not even the same band?

As to your first point, sounds like you got yourself a Ship of Theseus paradox right there. As to the second, a lot of deaf people like loud music, because they can feel it, and if they aren’t profoundly deaf, they can hear it to some degree.

I have mixed feelings about new songs at concerts. Sometimes that’s the best time to hear a song, when it’s still a little raw and not too pat or produced. Sometimes it’s just a lull in an otherwise exciting concert.

These look great! It’s a pain in the butt to have to scrap something, but when you know how to do it better at the end, sometimes it’s better! I can’t wait to see how this turns out!
